Licensing Procedures – AdjustersAn adjuster license is required for any person acting as an adjuster under an insurance policy. Oregon has general lines and health adjusters only. Adjusters acting only as workers compensation adjusters do not need an adjuster's license as long as they are certified as a claims examiner under standards approved by the Oregon Workers Compensation Division. IndividualsOregon ResidentsAll resident adjusters must take an adjuster exam. No pre-licensing training is required. To apply as a resident adjuster:

See Prometric's Web site for information for candidates for Oregon licenses, including how to register for exams, exam outlines, and exam fees. An insurance application must be approved before an applicant can register for an exam. Exam fees are paid directly to Prometric at the time of exam registration. Individuals who wish to request special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or for whom English is a second language (ESL) may request special exam arrangements by submitting a special accommodations form to Prometric.
